RV River Kwai, the first inland
cruise ship in Thailand, is a newly built colonial style river cruiser.
River kwai carries a maximum of 20 passengers in 10 teakwood cabins
(single deck) and operates every Monday-Thursday for upstream and
every Thursday-Sunday for downstream. RV River Kwai opens up an
entirely new area for river tourism in Kanchanaburi. Every morning
and afternoon land excursions are offered to visit attractions along
the river including temples, historic sites, khmer ruins, waterfalls,
war cemeteries, hot springs, the bridge on the River Kwai, and local
attractions, etc.
PROGRAMME DOWNSTREAM
(Depart Bangkok at 07:00 hrs.)
Day 1 (Thu) Bangkok-Kanchanaburi (L / D ) Pick up from hotel and depart by coach to Kanchanaburi with stops at Phra Pathom chedi, then proceed to Khao Noi Cave Temple and Tiger Cave Temple nearby. Continue to Kanchanaburi for lunch and afternoon visit Hell Fire Pass, a part of the Death Railway cut through the stone mountain. Embarkation RV River Kwai and cruise downstream on Kwai Noi River. Dinner and overnight on board
Day 2 (Fri) Ban Hin Dad-Sai Yok Yai (B/L / D ) Breakfast on board. Meet the coach and continue to visit Hin Dad Hot Spring and Pha Tad Waterfall. Rejoin RV River Kwai for lunch on board with afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight on board
Day 3 (Sat) Sai Yok-Ban Kao (B/L / D ) Breakfast on board. Short visit at Sai Yok Elephant village and return to RV River Kwai for lunch. Afternoon, board the coach to visit the Krasae Cave situated on the bank of the Kwai Noi River. Then, take 3 rd class train, passing over the long wooden viaduct, and take coach to Prasat Muang Singh, historical park with Khmer architecture from the late Lopburi period. Return to the RV River Kwai in the late afternoon with at leisure on the boat. Farewell Dinner and overnight on board
Day 4 (Sun) Ban Kao-Kanchanaburi-Bangkok (B/L ) Breakfast on board while cruising downs to vist Wat Tham Khaopoon. Continue by coach to visit the world-famo us bridge over the River Kwai, Thailand-Burma Railway Center Museum, and finally visit at the Donrak War Cemetery. Rejoin Rv River Kwai for Lunch. After lunch, disembark RV River Kwai and return to Bangkok by coach – arrive Bangkok at 6:00pm.
