Travel through some of the best scenery the North of Thailand has to offer, visiting places of cultural and historic importance, such as Wat Phradhat Doi Suthep, Mae Hong Son including elephant ride and boat trip on Pai River, Karen Padaung (Long neck wome) and Golden Triangle

Day 1 Chiang Mai – Mae Hong Son ( L / D )
From Chiang Mai, we will drive along a winding road through spectacular jungled mountains, via the Pai Valley , to Mae Hong Son province, Stops along the way included and Orchid Farm. Picnic lunch will be provided. Before arriving Mae Hong Son, we will stop on the way to visit Fish Cave where large fresh eater fish live in a mountainside pool. Dinner at Hotel.

Day 2 Long Neck Karen Village (B / L / D )
Today you ride through the jungle on elephants. Then we will drive in a “pick-up” mini truck through the jungle to visit the “Long Neck” Karen Padaung Village . The Karen Padaung women wear numerous brass coils round their necks and legs. Lunch is included before taking a boat trip on Pai River , and then heading back to Mae Hong Son. Dinner at Hotel

Day 3 Mae Hong Son – Chiang Mai (B / L / D )
Today, we will visit the early morning fresh market and witness the traditional Buddhist offering. Afterwards, sightseeing of Burmese temples on the lakeside, Wat Nong Jong Kam and Wat Jong Klang and a drive up to visit Wat Phra Dhat Doi Kongmoo on the mountain top with breathtaking views of this sleepy town. We will take a short mid-day flight from Mae Hong Son to Chiang Mai. Tonight, you will be treated to a northern Thai style Khantoke dinner while you watch elegant dancers performing traditional Thai Dancing.

Day 4 Chiang Mai (B / L / D )
A full day to enfoy the delights of Chiang Mai and in the morning it will be your turn to work! Climb 290 steps to visit the Hilltop Temple of Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep which offers spectacular views of the Chiang Rai area. Lunch will be at a local restaurant before continuing to the district of Sankampaeng, home to Chiang Mai's famous handicraft industries. Dinner at Hotel.

Day 5 Chiang Mai –Hill Tribes – Chiang Rai (B / L / D )
This morning, you will drive north to Chiang Rai through mountain scenery via Mae Ka Chan, famous for a hot spring. We arrive Chiang Rai around noon and have lunch. After lunch, transfer to ‘pick-up' truck to climb the narrow mountain roads and enjoy great views from Doi Mae Salong, a settlement founded by Kuomintang soldiers, Stops are included at Akha and Yao Hill tribe villages, Dinner at Hotel.

Day 6 Golden Triangle – Mae Sai (B / L / D )
We begin today by driving to Mae Sai, Thailand 's northernmost town on the Myanmar border. There is possibility for OPTIONAL : Myanmar Border crossing (SUBJECT TO BORDER SITUATION we need two photocopies of your passport along with border pass fee if we can cross into Burma ). Next visit the renowned Golden Triangle where you can stand on the hilltop and enjoy views over Myanmar , Laos , Thailand and the mighty Mekong River . After this we drive along the Mekong River to Chiang Saen, where evidence of the original 13 th century city can still be seen. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. OPTIONAL : boat trip will be available. Dinner a t Hotel.

Day 7 Chiang Rai (B )
Return to Bangkok by air (cost not included).
